About me

Born and raised in Toronto, my path to a career in real estate did not follow a traditional route. After finishing my degree at the University of Guelph, I joined the education field while I debated pursuing a career in law.

A number of years later I found myself working at Lawrence Park Collegiate as the Senior Administrator. Little did I know it then, but this is where my real estate journey began. I grew very close with the community and even had the honour of coaching the girls’ hockey team to a winning season.

When my time was coming to a close at LP, one of the team’s hockey players told her dad about me and my search for the right future path. Her name was Alannah and she thought I should speak to her father, Michael, about real estate. He was the owner and Broker of Advocate Realty Ltd., and someone I had only spoken with about school related matters. After speaking with Michael at Advocate Realty Ltd., I accepted the opportunity to begin a mentorship with him. The entire industry intrigued me, especially since I’m not a prototypical salesman. I proceeded to get my real estate license as quickly as I could. And I’ve never looked back.

I joined Advocate in 2012 and have been blessed to work with such an amazing team. I’ve learned so much from my colleagues and can’t thank them enough for all the years of mentoring and support. I knew joining Advocate would mean a slower rise to success given our tiny size (only 4 of us). I didn’t care about that. I just wanted to learn from and work with the best.

It’s been a great 12 years but sadly, all good things must come to an end. I decided Sage was the right decision for me going forward. They’re family operated, have a wonderful culture and they provide lots of great support and tools for their agents and their clients. They really go above and beyond. I’m looking forward to working with the Sage team as part of the Advocate Group and hope to make countless great memories!

I pride myself on my honesty and integrity. My goal is to make the buying and selling process as seamless as possible while obtaining the best possible results for my clients. I’m always available to my clients and don’t take their trust in me lightly. I may be a bit unorthodox, but it’s in a good way (or so I’ve been told!), you’ll never feel rushed or out of the loop. My job is to provide you with the best possible advice so that you can make the right decisions for you.

Why Choose Me?

The number ‘7’ is unlucky to many but to me it’s my lucky number. Maybe I felt bad for it. It was always my jersey number in hockey. There’s also 7 principles I use that guide my relationships with clients. I live by these principles and try to incorporate them in every facet of my job.

1. Honesty 

Honesty is paramount and something you’ll always get from me, good or bad. Don’t be surprised if I try to talk you out of buying a home or not accepting an offer if I think you can do better. I always act in your best interest and that means giving you truthful and accurate information for you to make the best decisions possible.

2. Integrity

I don’t play games. Not with my clients, prospective clients or even the competition. We don’t need to cheat or bend the rules to be successful. I never want to put my clients (or myself) at risk. I’m grateful that I’ve never had a client sued as of yet in my entire career. This doesn’t happen by luck. I make sure my clients are well prepared, know all the rules and avoid ill-advised and unnecessary risks.

3. Communication

Open communication is very important in real estate. My goal is to make each client feel like they are my only client. You can always expect a quick response no matter what stage in the process you are. Nobody wants to wait around all day waiting for the answers to their questions.

4. Patience

I believe in the adage patience is a virtue. I’ve been blessed with this gift from my grandfather and honed while living with my autistic brother, Jamie. You’ll never feel pressured to buy quickly or accept an offer you don’t like. There’s no timeline and I won’t quit on you if you don’t quit on me.

5. Availability

I generally work by referral only which grants me more control over my schedule. I never want to take on too many clients at one given time. It’s important for my clients to feel like I’m personally available to meet their needs. Quality has always been more important than quantity to me. I don’t want to be the richest agent, I want to be the best agent I can be so that my clients are successful and happy!

6. Proficiency

When it comes to real estate, the devil is in the details. Small errors can have large consequences. You can rest assured that I’ll meticulously review all documentation and ask the right questions to make sure we don’t make careless mistakes

7. Longevity 

Real estate is not about doing deals for me. It’s about fostering long term relationships with clients and helping them with their real estate journeys. Once a deal is done, don’t expect me disappear. I enjoy keeping in touch with my clients and I’m always happy to answer questions (about anything, not just real estate) from past clients.
